Harlow James does it once again. Get your tissue once again because you will be crying.

The story of Brooks and Jess is a heartbreaking/emotional one. 

Brooks comes back to Emerson Falls because his mom has breast cancer. On the day that he is going to talk with his mom's oncologist, he meets a feisty little woman that dislikes his cinnamon flavored gum. Jess becomes is escape from his reality. She makes him smile, laugh and live during the worse time in his life. 

Jess has always had a calling to be a nurse. After one of shift she is tired and wants to go home but first she needs coffee. At the coffee shop, she meets Brooks, a hot as hell man who loves cinnamon flavored gum and dislikes her orange tic tacs. What she doesn't expect is that Brooks is the new ER doctor at the hospital. He is also the man that she has been waiting for, her forever.

When Jess discovers that she has breast cancer, she starts to push Brooks away. She doesn't want him to be burden taking care of both her and his mother with the same disease. But Brooks doesn't give up on her and is with her every step of the way.

This book made me cry when Jess' ordeal begins. Harlow James definitely saves the best for last.
